Well I'm 7 days in from my first 4 shots i do feel kinda better but it seems like my gut and anus pains are worse and my gut is alot more noisier. Also had couple days where it was nom stop bm's like my gut started to clear out felt like i took a powerful laxative seems better now. Saw my gi today and he says will take up tp 3 months for humira too kick in properly
Is this true if so i dont want to be in so much pain for long messes with my sleep and daily tasks

The last time I started Humira it took I would say 4 to 6 weeks to show a big improvement. It is different for different people though. Some people respond quicker then others. 3 months seems a little long to me. I was told when I first started Humira if I never had any improvement by the 3 month mark it was most likely not going to work.

I don't think the Humira causes pain like that - were you taking anything else before you started the Humira? It does take a little time to kick in for most people. If you were taking something for pain before, ask for some now. Doctors can be kind of cavalier about other people's pain. I used to go on clear liquids for a few days if I couldn't get it to stop. If nothing goes in, your gut kind of gets a little rest.

I dunno I used to get the same pain with infliximab which was one of the reasons I stopped the infliximab

in order for Humira to be properly evaluated you need to be on it for around 12 weeks. This is pretty much the norm. I have asked a contact in NIH as well as the University of Chicago where I was treated by one of the best GI's in the world. I had my own loading dose complications, like passing out, no energy and dizziness. But my complications went away as time progressed on Humira. I know its not easy but trfy and tough it out, it might be worth it.:thumright:

Yeah gonna stick with it, it's just weird I had the same pains on infliximab but had worse complications but the pains is weird now when i sleep on my side it's like my gut feels hard and it hurts and there is a pain below my ribs that was never there before but we'll see how it goes got my next injection in afew days
