A few days ago, I noticed some brownish red spots on my arms, legs, & back. They are irregular in size & shape, and flat. They don't hurt or itch, although the texture is a little rougher than the rest of my skin. Anyone else have anything like this?

At least check them out with your regular doc as a starting point. The could be petechia (?) could be some form of skin cancer in early stages (just had a chunk removed). These two come to mind pretty quickly. There definitely are many others. If they didn't exist for you before, get it checked. Most skin issues can be dealt with quickly and easily when discovered early.

Leigha,

I get painless mottled spots from the heating pad that last for months. The skin feels the same as usual though. I agree that you should get a doctor to look at it. I hope it is nothing too serious.

Have you recently changed laundry detergents or used new skin care/bath products? My dad has to use unscented laundry detergent. Allergies can cause weird symptoms.

I hope all goes well,

cmack

I can't think of any changes I've made. I use all-natural body-care products, mostly homemade. They are in irregular places, so it doesn't seem like something caused by an external factor. Thanks for the advice! I will keep looking. :)

The start of a fungus, perhaps?

I do get patches similar to this during spring and summer months when I am exposed to the sun. My body is very sensitive to the sun and I slotch badly. Doesn't burn, just looks painful and splotchy.

They definitely need to be checked by a dermatologist.

Did they all appear at once, or at different times?
