Had bowel resection recently and wondering if anyone had problems with their throat, swallowing, feeling of mucus, swallowing of pills or tightness? If so was this from new medications, anxiety, the surgical tubes or something else?

How recent was it? Did you have an NG or breathing tube? From personal experience that pain usually goes away in a few days.

i know my throat was killling me. They told me before the surgery that was probably gonna happen though. When they put you under they also insert a breathing tube. And yes, i did have a lot of stuff to cough up that was pretty tough because everytime you try and cough it hurts hahaha. good luck with everything

Like NGNG and CMc said, it is frequent to have throat pain after surgery. It depends how long it's been for you now? My throat was well irritated. First surgery I could barely talk and only my step-father could help me at the time as he could read on my lips... Took a few day before my vocal chords were back in order. Second surgery was better but there is always that awful coughing part. I usually have a bit of blood the first few days too from the tube.

you might want to just go to the doctor and get that checked out then. I had pain for no longer than 2 days. I did have mucus, but after a lot of little coughs i got that up. better to be safe and just have it checked out
