Prednisone and high blood pressure problem

So, it's been almost a month since I have been taking Pred. and I have started tapering off, but I'm noticing that my blood pressure rises after taking the pills. And it's VERY annoying; giving me an almost unbearable headache that prevents me from sleeping well.

I'm seeing my doctor in 4 days, and I'll surely let him know about it, but isn't there anything I can do for now to lessen that side effect?

I think bananas are supposed to help. If it gets bad, don't hesitate going to the ER.

I agree with ron you should be carefull and if you feel bad see your doc , high bp can cause many problems.

Well, it doesn't rise dramatically; the worst was 130/90 and I had to lay down a bit and drank some hibiscus tea to lower it. I was just looking for extra foods that might help since I have an exam tomorrow and this is the finals month, so I have no time to waste at hospitals.

My worse bp were 180/101 they were concerned for me having a stroke. Hope you feel better soon
