I was wondering with you good people. If cutting down proceed foods. Soups, frozen foods, lunch meats ect. Helps? I have a heart condition. Now for 4 years and was ok before. I thought! But now make my own pizza, soups, turkey chile. All less salt and fats. I'm still thin saw two doctors this week. Was in the ER. For chest pains . Fine now and weight 108. I'm only 5/1. I had a flair up 6 months a go. I'm go to the gym and work out. I do treat my self once in a while! Salads with grilled chicken. Pop( soda) caffeine once in a great while! I did it all slowly I drink lots of water. Now if I eat foods of other peoples or processed foods I can't east the salt and fat! Yuck! We can do we can do. And God will do what we cannot do! Take care :ghug:Maria

If you are accustomed to your own cooking without all those additives, I'm not surprised you can't stand processed foods! You are surely better off without them!

I try to cut down on it because it's so bad but luckily places like Whole Foods have healthier processed foods and that makes my life easier

Yes, I'm lucky to have a Whole Foods I can walk to!

I also make my own "convenience foods" that I can freeze, like broth, sauteed onions, etc.
