question about diagnosis
Hello,
In the beginning of this week I went to the doctor because of what I think is hemroids or an anal fissure. Basically I went because I have hard stools in the morning whitch sometimes tears something and I get some blood on the paper with a tearing pain(not internal).
Here is the thing. The doctor didn't take a look and just schedualed me for a colonoscopy. He said I may have Chrones disease or colon cancer. This of course got me pretty disturbed because Im 30 and went in thinking it was something simple.
Of course I didnt trust this doctor because he didnt take a look, I dont have abdominal discomfort or pretty much any other symptoms.
Basically my question is, do you think the doctors jump to chrones disease was warented? Also would a colonoscopy be performed without making a visual examination first?
I went to another hospital and the doctor said he didn't think it was a problem. After an inspection he said I have minor hemroids, gave me some meds and told me how to take care of it.
The problem is that what the first doctor said still lingers in the back of my mind.
