Hi everyone,Last night I had two red lumps appear on my right leg
about 6cm apart which are very sore to touch.
Today they are still very sore but look darker and not red.Have any of you
had this pop up or any clues cause hubby is ready to take me to hospital.
There is always something popping up but I have had a bad flare up
recently I am not on any meds x

Hi clearwell.

Sounds to me like it might be erythema nodosum. This happened to me years ago when I got a massive lump on my leg which looked like I'd bumped myself and it was really sore. Later that day I had more come up on my legs.

I went to the docs and they diagnosed it as erythema nodosum which is quite common with Crohn's and it went away by itself.

Hi Clearwell,
I agree with Misty, I have gotten them when in a really nasty flare before. They hurt and turn into a bruise, take awhile to heal but generally clear up with the end of the flare.

Thank you both am at the Doc Monday so will run through it with her.Speaking to her about the anti depressants and have also got the colonoscopy on Monday 29th which
is blooming quick so bring it on might as well have a grotty week and get it all out the
way in one go.Forgot have also got dentist Monday about the abcess that won't clear
up,had it three months now.will let you know how it goes. x x

yes - sounds like it could be EN....when I used to get it, I got it bad enough that my joints were killing me too - best to nip it in the bud!

EN was one of the first signs of my Crohns, my legs were covered in sores up to my knees my lower legs were swollen and my feet and ankles were swollen so bad I couldn't walk. First time around I went on 2 medications a steroid and some gout medicine, I was undiagnosed so I was seeing a rheumatologist referred by my Primary Care.
The second flare up I had, I was diagnosed and flaring so my GI put me Prednisone to take care of both problems.
Since being on Remi and my flares are somewhat controlled I haven't had any major breakouts just a few nodes here and there.

I would def take care of it early, make sure your doc is aware and is treating it.
