Question!

I was on 40mg of prednisone after my last flare up and as i'm going lower and lower my diarrhea has returned and my symptoms for the most part. I'm now on 5mg and will be done with it completely by Thursday.
My doctor wants me to not take anything after the prednisone because he wants to wait until my body flares up again and then do a capsule endoscopy to see what's going on and then get a biopsy to officially diagnose me.

How long do you think it will take for me to flare up again after i'm done with prednisone? What do people normally experience after being done with prednisone?
Also... I just got the flu because my immune system is so low because of the steroid... so, i'm thinking it won't be too long till i flare again... but i'm so scared. I don't want to flare!!
any advice or information would be great!!! <3

I think its hard to say when it will flare again! I just don't think there's a clear cut answer as everyone is so much different in this disease.

All of the times I've been on steroids have been at times when I've started other medications like Remicaid and Humira that made me feel better anyway, that I don't really remember feeling any different coming off of the prednisone.

I hope you get some answers soon girlie!!! I watched your cute video you did the other day as well as a couple of other ones. Hang in there, I know its really hard!!

When I was on Prednisolone and tapering, like you the lower I got the worse I felt but I don't think it was until a couple of weeks after I'd finished it that I felt a lot worse and flared again properly but as Manzyb said I guess it will be different for everyone x

Thank you both so much for responding! I know it's super hard to try to figure out when i'll flare up again i'm just so nervous! :/ but i'm going to keep being strong and know that whatever happens, happens for a reason. I'll just keep hanging in there!
It's scary that I have to just kinda.. wait for it lol
