My daughter has a rash on her hands and feet that is itchy...they are little clear bumps .
They're not noticeable unless you go out in the sun.
Has anyone had any experience with a rash like this.

Just tagging Devynnsmom ... not sure if it's the same but I believe her daughter had some sort of rash on her feet???

Sorry you're dealing with one more issue related to Crohns! :ymad:

Do you know if it is eczema? Do the little clear bumps seem like blisters & release a clear fluid if punctured or scratched?

I was going to ask the same thing dannysmom
I have that on my hands and the back of my legs-bottom of my butt cheek area. I was told its atopic dermatitis caused by eczema.
There was a wiki article made not to long ago. It turns out that Celiacs Disease can be correlated with a type of dermatitis, but as far as I know, it is not yet proven to be correlated with Crohn's. I have found a lot of members on here alone that have both so I am starting to think that there is some type of correlation between the two.
anyways here is the wiki article I was talking about

Thank you Tess, Devynn actually had all the skin on her feet peel off. It looked like a big water blister, and then literally just fell off. She has had rashes on and off since long before diagnosis. We have never been told what they are, but since diagnosis I assume they are IBD related? The rashes she has had have been anything from blistery looking, to raised and bumpy, to flat and spotty...
I'm wondering if they are on upsetmom's daughters hands and feet, if it could be hand foot and mouth disease? http://chealth.canoe.ca/condition_info_details.asp?disease_id=310 if so, it is very contagious.

Upsetmom, have a look at the link I posted http://chealth.canoe.ca/condition_info_details.asp?disease_id=310 does this sound like what your daughter has? This is hand foot and mouth disease. "Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a viral infection that usually affects babies and children. HFMD can lead to fever, a blistering rash on the hands and feet, mouth sores, sore throat, and a poor appetite.

HFMD is contagious and often causes illness within 3 to 7 days after exposure to an infected person. Proper hand-washing, avoiding close contact, and cleaning contaminated surfaces and items can help reduce the spread of the disease."

My son had this exact thing- water filled blisters on hands and feet that itched. He was diagnosed with HFMD, although he never had mouth blisters nor were his blisters painful, only itchy. Interestingly, shortly after having this rash he began to have IBD symptoms of blood and mucous in stools. We suspect whatever the rash was sent his system into over drive and triggered his first flare. He was 16 months at the time.

Thanks everyone

They're definitely not blisters... at first i thought maybe they're sweat pimples but then they started spreading half way up her leg.

I showed the GI and he said where i can't see no rash!!! Then he put the bright light near her leg and then he could see that they were everywhere.
He said they were from her crohns ....but this is new to us.

Devynnsmom i got a bit worried when i read that article because a few days before the rash appeared she had a sore in her mouth....i put that down to her braces and yesterday she woke up with a sore throat.... then last night she looked like she was coming down with the flu...so hopefully that's all it is.

We went to see the GP he also thinks its crohns related....he said if it gets worse or doesn't get better in a few days to go back.

Do you have a Rheumo?!
They handle all of DS's Ibd related rashes.
Very well.
They were the only ones who knew at least one of his rashes was vasculitis .
Hugs
