Hey everyone, I was just diagnosed with Crohn's This month, but look up "The Spoon Theory" on Google, it's a girl explaining to her friend how lupus effects her but this is a general autoimmune disorder story for all to share with people that don't understand your sickness and might say to you,"Well you don't look sick." READ IT! It's so important to read! Here's a link!

When I first got my dx I showed this to my 'friend'. She said 'I am sure it would apply to someone who is really poorly, but it obviously does not apply to you. You only have an upset stomach.'

I do think its a good tool to use to explain how you have to think each day through and try to plan ahead.
I have since shown it to various other family members and they have had that 'aahhhh' moment.

People just don't get how Crohn's can be one minute to the next. I'm literally not able to work right now. I can't believe I finally got a job making $10,000 a year and got fired from it :( Hope dissability pays me a decent amount to live off of!

It does my head in. It really does.
I get the whole well you look ok!!
Made my husband shadow me recently for the day. That was fun!!! Well for me anyway.
Each time I needed to go to the bathroom he had to stop what he was doing and sit on the stairs!! If I was too tired to do something he had to sit down with me. It did help him think about how my days are when he is at work.
Hope your dissability pays out for you. xxxxx
