Remicade, fistula and seton removal
Hi!i guess it pays to start and the begining.... Had an abcess on and of for approx two yeard. Didnt cause too much bother. Lots of discharge began and really wasnt sure where coming from. Gp wasnt convincef of the places i said it mite br coming from. Gyno said dermititis. Pottered along till a weekend away on a boat when got really uncomfortable. Ended up a gp late sundsy nite and given antibiotics. Cut a long story short including 2 extremely painful incisions to drain and ending up in hospital. Dignosed with CD and 2 fistulas. Had one laid open and a seton in the other! This was the most painful thing i have ever expetienced! Was told to go home and take panadol! No no no, ended back in hospital and given morphine, endone and oxycontin! On remicade by then and healing very well! (invest ina donut pillow!) had 3 infusions and tje seton removed the day after the third. Seton was in for 3-4 months. Still was draining a little bit when removed. Still taking flagyl now (2 weeks so far). I have a few questiond......
1. How long does it generally take for the fustula to heal taki
Remicade?
2. When will the leaking stop?
3. What signs to i look for to know it is healing? Thanks heaps everyone out there! I didnt realise there were so many people out there gping thr the same thing!!!!
