My family is planning on going on a vacation to the beach this summer(a 12-ish hour drive, depending on traffic.) I just wondered if anyone had any tips on how to survive a long road trip with Crohn's. Of course I will take Imodium for the trip(I take it EVERY day anyway) and won't eat anything too harsh on my stomach. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Sleep as much as you can. Keep meals small and stay to your safe foods. And if you have the option to lay down in a ball i found it helps

I have too. We've also made sure to stop at rest areas, gas stations or other places on the way if need be for a bathroom break and walk. If at all possible, I'd keep a change of clothes accessible just in case as well.

First things first, let yourself have fun! It honestly will help. Have you found foods that bulk you up a little? Cut down a little on fluids if you can for the drive, stay away from gassy foods. With all my issues, literally several hundred thousand km driving done, never an accident in the car. Closest cases actually came when I had an ostomy. I have found that if I am enjoying the drive, the vacation and am staying within a reasonable diet, my body actually seems to treat me well. Maybe keep a comfortable cushion under your backside for the drive, and bring a good book or movie to keep you occupied. With any luck, your body will treat you as well as mine has.
