:welcome: glad you are here, could you tell us more about yourself? Did you have the surgery? Please give us more to go on. I have not had a seton drain but others can help you.
Post surgury is generally not too bad. Lots of pain meds. It depends on the surgury. I had a seton placement surgury, as well as a general tissue removal, because the skin adjacent to the original fistula had become necrotic and disgusting. You'll get used to the seton. Take lots of sitz baths, and make sure you keep the area clean. We have a Fistulas and Abscesses subforum here, which you might want to check out. It's got alot of advice for maintaining cleanliness as well as sanity. haha Don't be cheap on toilet paper either. Annnnnnd, you might have to wear a pantiliner, or some gauze to catch the drainage.
How about you let us know more about yourself.... What meds are you on? Some can change the way the seton works. What's the diagnosis?
Sorry you're having trouble You may want to check out our Fistula and Abscess support which my esteemed colleague above me helps to run. Smart guy, he is.
