I just had a colonoscopy to minor bleeding and my dr said it was due to scarring and my medicine was doing its job. I have no pain or diarrhea and go to bathroom once a day. I have crohns and havent had any problems since i was diagnosed 3 years ago and hospitlized. I was just wondering if scarring is normal and anything to worry about my dr. Didnt seemed concerned

Not sure how scarring could cause bleeding.... bleeding was likley due to the procedure or if the doctor took biopsies...

Perhaps there was some irritation to the scar tissue that caused bleeding just after the surgery? If your doctor saw scarring during your procedure, then you have had active disease that has damaged your intestines. There isn't anything to do about already scarred tissue, but there are medicines that can help with the inflammation that can, when untreated, can lead to scarring. It is worth following up with your doctor to clarify what he saw and whether there is anything to do.
