Hey guys and gals! Being new to the forums I have been going through past posts and getting a feel for the community.

Through this process I have seen quite a few colorful screen names, and I can't help but wonder where they come from.

Me first: "Who Am I" is an amazing song from Les Miserables, sung by the character Jean Val jean (prison number 24601).

Anyone else want to share?

I already posted this, but my nick's from the Greek Goddess Nyx...Goddess of Night.

You did you did saw a puddy tat  I mean you have seen this before, I looked it up and there is 3 page one from long time ago, most of them have left so this one is good.

I used to be Jettalady (Ihave a Jetta lol) and now Pen ...but not putting my date of birth on it, I aint that dumb lol. Kidding!

Pen is part of my legal name and dont be saying what it is or I will slap ya!:ytongue:

dreamintwilight is a rough translation of some lyrics from one of my favorite German art songs "Traum durch die Dämmerung" meaning dreaming through the twilight.

Mine started as Baron Von Funk when I was 19. Then over the past decade just evolved to vonfunk (always lowercase). There was no meaning behind it. about half of what comes up for vonfunk on google is me (except for twitter and for some reason my identity has been stolen by an adult dating site for juggalos, which I just found, I have some e-mailing to do).

Mine is pretty obvious and not very creative I'm afraid Lol. It's the name of our disease and the year I was diagnosed.

I have been on AOL since 1992 and my screen name was Sierra and then I would put my age behind that. When I hit Sierra39 I decided it was time to leave the age out so then I became Vintage at 40 so it's Vintage and Ann is my real name. The question most people as me is if I drink wine. The last time I drank wine was out of a bottle hidden in a paper bag much like a wino, in high school in the girls bathroom. It was boons farm strawberry hill. Once you hurl that stuff you really never want to go there again. Therefore, nope I don't drink wine.

My husband and I call each other "P" which stands for "partner". It has since evolved to stand for different things depending on the mood. "ThanksP" is the license plate on my dream car he bought me two years ago. Everyone always asks who "P" is and sometimes I tell them it stands for my pimp. Hahaha, their faces are priceless.

Boons farm, haven't thought of that in a long time. Had my share of good times followed by not so good times on that stuff. My worst memory. I was with some friends in high school at a party, I thought it would be a great idea to drink a bunch of this wonderful wine. I had an ileostomy at the time. Needless to say, I had terrible leakage. On top of that, I was wearing white pants. The were completely pink, it was a nightmare. How stupid we are as teenagers. At least I was. I was just trying to fit in with everyone else. It was the worst, but my friends were very supportive at the time. I don't think I've touched the stuff since.

Lol I wish I could see that!

Well - I have Paso Fino Horses, (for the past 20+ years)....and the 'buff' is from the fire service - a 'buff' is someone who likes the fire service, but may not be a member or involved...also someone who goes to calls just to watch (I used to do that with friends too) ....however I HAVE been involved in the fire service in one way or another for the past 20 years or so!

Mine was from my 1st surgery, and thanks to the great guys in the firehoue and their ball busting I was given it and stuck. LMPO

Wow. Drinking Boone's and wearing white pants? Don't know if that qualifies as brave or stupid!

I used to drink a bottle of the stuff while I was getting ready to go out on a Friday night -that was my warm up. Hmmm. That's probably one of the reasons my colon went bad!!

I love all these explanations! And good times with the Boone's farm. My husband doesn't drink but when he makes fun of people who do, he always says they're "drinking Boone Farms from a fancy cup".

Pugmonster- I am "mom" to three crazy pugs who I love dearly. One of our many nicknames for them is the pugmonsters, because they aren't quite dog, and aren't quite human either. :)

Okay Amy, I was a teenager, enough said.

I remember drinking a two liter of Purple Passion while getting ready to go out. Oh the stuff we endured just to drink a little alcohol. The cheaper, the better.

Boone's farm Apple mountian, all we could afford in H.S. most of the time.

Pirate, I have an earring and my brother and his niece's husband was giving me a hard time about it and said only 2 type of men have earrings and I better own a boat. I have 2 canoes so Pirate kinda stuck to me. Plus one of my favorite movies is Pirates of the Carribean

mine is cause that what my opthamologist kept saying in my first visit with him. i tell him about my eye inflammation and he'd say a low % number. My GI does that same thing. My height is also 2 standard deviations below the mean.

I finally accepted the fact that I'll have Crohn's for the rest of my life (until a cure is found)so I nicknamed myself (as well as those who have CD) a Crohnie and then just added 4life...thus Crohnie4life. My friends think it's funny & are amazed at how much I've gone through over the past 40 years with this illness. I tell them, if you don't have a sense of humor in dealing with this sort of thing, you'll go nuts. lol Y B Normal is my motto. :D:D:D

If you're not going to tell us which agency you work for I may be tempted to start guessing. Here are some I just thought of:

Toilet Paper Detectives.

Toga Party Division.

Telepathic Powers Delegation.

Let me know if I'm warm or cold?
