Hey guys.

So I was doing fine, no flare ups (major flare ups), eating well, piling on the weight. Life was dandy! All of this was happening on Budesonide and Azathioprine (although I doubt the aza is doing anything).

However, a week ago I start getting non-stop diarrhoea and it hasn't stopped to this day. It's affected my life drastically as you can imagine. I have the urge to go toilet randomly and cannot stop it. Im having around 10 bm's a day albeit around 5 the last couple days.

I have no fever or other symptoms and was just wondering if this sounds like an infection or my crohns coming back. :(

Also, is it bad that I don't take the aza everyday... I miss a few days and back on again?

IDK what is causing your symtoms, but it is kind of important to take the azo everyday. Perhaps you could set an alarm to remind you. I put my pills out every evening so I remember to take them in the morning.

Hi Marx, you really need to be taking the Aza everyday. If you went to your IBD nurse with this info the first thing they will say is that the missed doses are most probably the cause of your symptoms. If after taking this religiously every day you still had problems I would then say you need to have this looked into. Bare in mind though that it may take a while for the Aza to settle in properly because of the missed doses.

Thanks for the advice guys. Guess i gotta make more of an effort taking the aza. Also seeing my doc next week... He says if it's an infection, he'll give me some antibiotics but if it's the crohns, gonna have to go on prednisolone. :(
