Oh my goodness I only posted yesterday saying I felt a bit rubbish but not to bad well it's gone mad.
I said yesterday my knee was slightly sore well 330am I woke up because I moved my leg and I burst into tears the pain is ridiculous again :-( also the arthritis pain seems to be in the left side of my jaw and it is hard for me to say some words or eat as its very painfull. I have never had it in my jaw before. I am really struggling today and just dosing myself up on pain killers I really don't want this to be the start of a flare but I think it is :-(
If anyone has any suggestions on pain I am willing to try them? Tried all the usual elevation, cold, pain killers and sitting in a bath for a while nothin gives much relief x

The jaw pain is weird and I'm not aware of arthritic type pain presenting there very often but I'm far from an expert when it comes to arthritis. If you haven't already, see if you can put in a call to your doctor to see what they think.

I hope you feel better soon!

*hugs*

Thank you for replying I have phoned my rheumatologist and just waiting for a reply from them.
I thought the jaw thing was strange but it feels like the same pain hurts to talk and to lay down on that side. I will see what the dr's think when thy get back to me with an appointment. The pain also seems to be in my lower back as well so just falling to bits at the moment lol. Trying to stay positive but gets difficult when I am stuck on the sofa and when the weather is so nice here now.

I don't think the jaw thing is strange. When I was 19 and first presented with Crohn's and RA symptoms My jaw swelled like Jay Lenos on both sides and I could hardly talk or move it for that matter. The part right by your ear that connects your jaw to your skull is where mine was. It was awful. It was really bad in my lower back too. I remember many tears and cries in pain, it was so unbearable. No pain medicine seemed to do anything but the big time stuff. I was in bad shape. Meds and time was the only thing that helped me :( That is how they diagnosed my RA.

That's the same place I have it in my jaw and it is puffy on the left side where it is as well. I have been diagnosed with enteroptathic arthritis and I also have hypermobile joints which can occasionally cause pain. Just never had it in jaw before and along with my knee bad and my back sleep is a problem. I have been taking co codamol and but tramadol makes me feel sick so I take that at night usually so I can try to sleep.
Thank you for replying x
