SOOOO Angry at my Doc's office!!!!

So my Mom just called, just about ready to go down to the doc's office and throttle someone. She went to my appt. with my Gastro on the 21st with me, and liked him, and wants him as hers, as her old gastro passed away. Anyways, she went to our GP's office a couple days later and asked for a referral, which they sent, and she has an appt. in february....Awesome, she's not flaring, just a routine, so no big deal.

Anyways, so she gets a call from the GP today, that she has an Appt. Jan. 28th for a Colonoscopy and Consult with a different gastro.

WTF!!!! So i'm having excrutiating pain, diarrhea, vomitting, can't work, and i have to wait until May, but she gets in in a month?! I'm so freaking peeved off, as is she. She asked them if she could give me her appt....If things don't get anywhere with my Gastro tomorrow she's going to ask if she can give me her appt., and if she can't, then i'll go into my GP's office and demand that they call every stinking Gastro in the lower mainland to get me in ASAP!!! ARGH, so angry.

Ahh, I would be angry as well. Throws me back to the point of 'I don't think anyone without the disease will know what it is like' and they take it for granted. They believe we can wait. In these situations, I wish the ER would do more than a shot of Morphine.

I was in a similar situation, and had a different doc (within the same office) conduct my colonoscopy (to get a much sooner time) and give the report and pictures to my doc for my next appt.

What the heck? That is weird - maybe it is just the disorganization of your GP's office or something?

Apparantly everyone i've been dealing with is a few bricks short of a load.
i try to understand that it's hard for them to juggle everything, but it just gets so frustrating!

But yeah, Mom's been really frustrated for me, she calls every day to see how i am doing, and deffinately knows what i'm going through, as she's been here before.

It's either laugh or cry these days, so i'm finding myself doing a lot of laughing.
