Hi people,
This is my first post. I've been looking and reading for years, but never joined to post anything. I've had Crohn's for 17 years and presently in the middle of a particularly aggressive flare up. I've been referred for a stem cell transplant as no medication is working, and an operation is not an option as to much of both my bowel's are inflamed.
I found it quite difficult to find anyone in the UK who I could speak to about their experience. As you can imagine it is a pretty big decision you have to make, and speaking to someone who has been through it can put your mind as ease.
I am all set to start the procedure in July, and have started a blog just to keep my experience's and thoughts. The procedure differ's a little from country to country, so this is from a UK perspective. The blog is mystemcelljourney.wordpress.com
If anyone is in the same position as me, and would like some advice or just a chat, then message me and I'll send my email address.
Hope you all are well, and thanks for reading.
