Hi I am a 16 year old boy with crohns disese. I've had it since I was 13. Lately I have been really stressed out, and kinda depressed. I took remicade for a year and now I am off of it. They want to switch me to Humira but I don't feel good about taking it. I've done a lot of research for more natural medicine without too many side effects. I haven't came across anything except cbd. I would much rather take that then Humira. Any thoughts?

Hi there
Im not sure what cbd is. But I currently take Humira and it has worked well for me. So long as I don't smoke (I quit and relapsed and quit again) it works well enough to put me in remission - miracle! It isn't time consuming or difficult and if you don't like injecting, a family member could do it. It does, however, sting a little - the only negative I have found.

I haven't researched much into the alternative therapies, so I can't say much about those for you, but that is my experience of humira

Good luck :)

I've tried CBD and it helped if I kept taking it. It comes in many forms I've tried it in honey, concentrates and other,.. But in Colorado I think you have to have two doctors recommend it if your under 21

I have my own food list and I tried a lot of things before writing it down.
I think it depends on your personal situation.
You can write at my gmail address if you want more specifics.
What is CBD ?
I don't trust the drugs the doctors give us as well. Too many side-effects, two many unknowns.
