The weather’s getting really lovely in my part of the world, and I’ve been outside a lot recently. And getting a rash from the sun. Bright red dots of different sizes - not raised - only slightly itchy. Mostly on my hands/forearms. It gets worse several hours after sun exposure, and lasts a day or so. So I’ve been coating every inch of exposed skin in sunscreen (SPF 50 or more) and [knock on wood] I haven’t gotten the rash for the past week or so.
I haven’t had this rash for the past few years (in med-free remission) – I used to get a really horrible rash from any sun exposure, but I can’t remember if it started before/after I initially started on 6mp. I’ve been back on 6mp since Sept and just started getting the rash a few weeks ago – if it’s caused by the med why didn’t the rash start last fall when I was outside a lot??? I’m kind of worried because when I was younger nothing would stop me from getting the rash (I wore sunscreen/pants/long sleeves and still got the rash on my hands – it was terrible)...
Anyway, do any of you get a rash like this from being in the sun? What do you do about it?
