Hey all, for the last 2 years I have been looking for support for me and my daughter in group meetings, online, and in person. This forum has been great and slowly things have been happening. I am hopeful to great a good network for both of us going through the transition of diagnosis to living with the disease.
I thought I would post this here, and I will put it in the Ontario area too (but few people actually look there). Toronto, Ontario finally is formulating a group of fellow Crohnies & UCers. we have met now a few times, and on April 6th we are having a fun gathering, a mix and mingle with a comedy night planned. Check out the link here & join us if you are in Toronto. www.ccfc.ca/MixandMingleTorontoSocial The April event is for everyone, including friends, family, coworkers, and supporters of all that we all go through. April's event is the only one that tickets are required. Normally the monthly events are free (but buying food/drinks at the venue is appreciated to show our support by them giving the space for us to meet).
The next dates are in the planning stages but I will post here when I know. Sometimes nothing feels better than the physical connection meetings like this can make.
