Symptoms started and 1 week in to treatment!

Hi!

I'm currently on a Liquid diet of Modulen and have just started Azathioprine. Up until August last year, I was suffering with constipation with returned this morning! oo: To combat the problem I was given Movicol (a laxative) but stopped it recently.

Along with painful constipation, I've been getting mucus and large amounts of blood in tissue etc. As well as that I've been extremely tired so I'm going to get some rest. A contributing factor could be that I ran out of Modulen and had to use Complan (an over the counter nutrition supplement drink), which I hated and hardly touched! My obstinacy has caused me trouble!

Should I check this out and see my GP? Thanks! :sheep: :ghug:

Ok thanks! I phoned up 101 last night, they said to continue taking movicol starting with 1/2. I'm going to continue with it because I'm still feeling the effects of the constipation. Might be side effects of the azathioprine so I'll ask for a blood test tomorrow!:dance:
