test results

So I called my GI specialist, and the results for my prometheus serology test is in, but he won't tell me the results until the 12th when I go in for my appointment. If it was negative wouldn't they just tell me? It's nerve wracking. I feel like death, and I just want to know what's going on.

Whenever my test results are bad, my doctor usually calls me the minute he gets the results and hauls me into his office. When the results are not bad, he just waits for our next appointment to give me my results. Both my GP and my GI operate this way.

I understand how anxious you must be, but perhaps your GI works the same way mine does? Lets hope so!

Hi! Where is Iva? I live in the Charleston area. My doc used the Prometheus Serology test, too. I got a nice little letter telling me my results before my appointment. It came back positive which I'm pretty sure is what led me to this place.

Maybe he doesn't want you to read a bunch of crap on the Internet before your appointment, but really I don't get what all the secrecy is about. I hope you do not have IBD. But I will say that most docs don't dx off of the results of that test- all my scopes came back normal so I am not dxed with Crohns. Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow.

Iva is in the Upstate. I live between Anderson and Abbeville. I only have this fear really because my old GP would have me come into the office when I had bad test results. I have a feeling that my GI probably won't even look at the results until I go in tomorrow. He doesn't seem overly concerned, and he has his own surgical clinic as well as his office. So, I think that he's probably a really busy man.
