I really wouldn't have gotten through it without you all. I will be forever checking in at this Forum to support you guys and to help newbies. I am not as knowledgeable as you all are but I have compassion for those with IBD and these kids suffering. It is hard doing it alone and sometimes all we have is each other. Thank you for always being so on top of my posts and helping me, I never had to wait long to get a response and support. That is what makes each one of you so valuable to me. Take care and I will be back to lurk and check on you all.
:ghug:

THANK YOU!

I know I am missing some very important people from this Thank You. So Thank you to you too! So many to thank such little memory to remember everyone's handle.

Thanks Mary, that's so nice! :D

You and Rowan went through so much for so long :(, I hope that Rowan is doing well now and that she continues to do well forever and ever! Going forward, I hope you have nothing but the pleasure of seeing Rowan happy, healthy and having lots of fun!

And, Mary, you were amazing throughout all the ups and downs - and I can only hope I can find the strength and determination you showed in taking Rowan back to health! (Praying, knocking on wood, throwing salt over my shoulder and climbing Sam's Hill that I never need it though! ;))

Lurk away  and hope to hear from you with HAPPY updates! :rosette1:

I know I feel the same way you do Mary. Something about going through a tramatic experience with people, you feel forever close to them. :ghug:And you were there for me when I needed you too. It was comforting to know that there were other people who understood and were seeking out information as much as I was.

I wish you the best and I know you will put all of your knowledge to work helping other parents out there. I think you are probably more knowledgeable than some Dr.'s out there by now!:thumleft:

Enjoy your beautiful healthy little girl, and check in on us!

You and your girl are real hero's.
I wish you and her the best and brightest future to come.

Wait! Where are you going?! Did I miss something? Why do I feel like crying?

I am rushing to get my oldest packed for college and wish I had the time to say everything I want to.

You are truly an amazing mom and person Mary and your little angel is heaven sent. You are both an inspiration to us all!

Please do lurk as your knowledge, expertise and compassion would be most welcome!

I know what you mean.
I called my mom just to say I love you.
She asked me if I need money.:ywow:
I said no.
She asked me if I was dying.:shifty:
I said no.
I did say if I was dying would you give money. She said no!!!

:rof:

:medal1:We're all very thankful for you.:soledance:

I'll join in and say THANK YOU EVERYONE for welcoming me here, I really need the support as my little guy has just been diagnosed...I am finding that I log on here every day now to read the posts...so much information and understanding here xoxo

Oh Mary......you are so sweet! :):):)

It makes my heart sing to think of you both being able to enjoy a life away from the ever constant fear of doctors, hospitals and pain.

I hope more than anything that your princess is doing wonderfully well and enjoying all the things in life a 4 year old should.

Enjoy camping!!!
So sweet of you...and you know we have all been on both sides of this...able to lend a hand at one point and desperate for help another. So thank *you* as well...and while I have been awful about keeping up with threads, hoping Rowan is doing fabulously and continues to do so.

Camp was awesome. They had kids camp daily and the girls were in separate camps during the day, while I learned how to shoot a bow and arrow and did some horseback riding. The food was awesome and we were interviewed for U of M Alumni magazine and took some family photos.

Also it was like therapy bc the families we were with were also hospital family with each of their own issues. Making our journey seem so small in comparison. One girl lost her leg to MRSA, another girl had Crohns and her mom UC, a 7 year old with cystic fibrosis, a baby suffering from a rare heart defect has 36 meds a day and a 11 month hospital stay, and a 16 year old with spinal bifita. It was so humbling and wonderful to meet these families and to share our stories. I will forever be connected to them. The little girl with Crohns only lives 20 miles away from me. Her mom and I really hit it off, they were from England and moved to the states 11 years ago. Loved their accent, I kept trying to talk like her, the mum got a kick out of it. It was a wonderful experience.

Rowan has a appointment with her surgeon on the 6th. She finish her months course of Cipro today and is still having the spotting issue with BMs. It is very intermittent but still I want to know why. Probably going to have to do pouchoscopy.

Thanks for the update Mary! :)

Wow! Camp sounds like it was a magical experience. I am so happy that all went off well hun. :):):)

Good luck with the surgeon today! :goodluck:
