Anyone use a ring cushion for a bit of added comfort??

Sitting on a hard seat at work all day is doing me in..been sat on my hot water bottle most of the day today...ouchie

Any use?? worth splurging £20 on??

I just bought myself one of those donut-shaped cushions because I've had a hemorrhoid for over 2 weeks now and the stupid thing hasn't gone away or even shrunk any! The cushion is okay except my legs fall asleep pretty quickly when I'm sitting on the cushion. Someone in another thread told me that those cushions aren't designed for all-day use, just occasional or short-term use. So for whatever that's worth - I probably wouldn't spend much on it. Mine cost $11, I don't think I'd spend more than that since I can't use it all day long. I think a regular cushion or chair pad would work a little better.

Hey Dancer

I use a blown up kids swimming ring! dead cheap and dead comfy!

I just ordered a $90 (so I think that's about 50pounds - sorry not so good at conversions) "portable gel seat" to carry around with me... like a cushion type thingy... So I am hoping it works....

My way of thinking? It's never a waste until it doesn't work, and then you can probably sell it to someone else, so it's never a waste! lol.

Hi!

I'm new here and "Mark, father of EJ" pointed me to this thread.

This web page has all the possible cushion/pillow ideas in images on one page. I have tried the "Neck Pillow" and the "Pool Noodles", both with the opening to the back.

My pain is mainly to the back. It is still difficult to sit for longer than 10-15 minutes, but I agree they are a big help. Perhaps if I had some disposable cash besides the essentials I could find a better solution from this page. This has affected my ability to work to the point I can barely pay rent.

I will come back after 15 posts and fix that URL, but in the meantime, that link is well worth visiting.
