Hi

I was wondering what peoples thoughts are on taking Turmeric supplements. i have just bought some capsules form my local heath shop and was wondering if it is a good idea to start taking them?

I am on Pentasa atm so wondering there will be any conflict there?

Also I bought some Probiotic Acidophilus as it was buy one get one free...agian any feedback would be good on this.

Hi there, yes both are good and helps reduce inflammation. It depends on the brand and how much you take. I havent taken Turmeric in years but I do take probiotics (when I remember) everyone should be taking them..Puts in good bacteria. Should be a great idea, hope it helps!

I have been taking Turmeric for about 2 months now and I also am on Pentasa..
I have had no conflicts and feel my energy levels are good..
So it gets the all clear with me...:)
Take care..

I take turmeric and ginger daily. Take these at separate times as turmeric does have a mild antimicrobial property so it may may the probiotic less effective. I take my ginger and turmeric and ginger at lunch and my probiotic at supper.

I take turmeric in a combination with boswellia, works great for inflamation and ache joints. I don't believe there is a problem with either taken with other meds but you could google it and check
