Hi everyone.

Wondering if anyone has ever tried this and did it help you? I have not been diagnosed yet, but I have been having issues for 2 years now. I went to this natural health pharmacy and they have a product that is a medical food called Ultra InflamX and it specifically targets crohns and UC and any inflammatory bowel issue. It is made by Metagenics. Just want to know if anyone else on here has tried this and if so, did or does it help you?

Never heard of it, the website says it's only avail through a registered health care Practioner, so funny that it would be avail at health food store.

It does contain an alarming amount of vitamin A, so it's something you would have to be very careful with. Also contains excessive amounts of vitamin E, it says it reduces free radical generation (hence all the vitamin E), but too much of anybody vitamin can be dangerous and vitamins A and E are fat soluable, so it's not like vitamin C where you can flush it out by drinking water.

I have no experience with this product and don't know anybody who has used it, but based on the info on the webpage, it's something I would be extremely careful with.

Yeah, the place that has it there is a natural pharmacist on staff there. I believe there is like 2,500 IU of VitA from beta caortene and 2,500IU from retinyl palminate. If taken just once a day or even twice, that is not such a high amount. I was taking 10,000IU's a day awhile back. I also was getting my levels checked too though just to be sure, and it was ok. There is 100IU of Vit E, now that I am not sure of, I am going to have to look into that some more as you are right, Vit E is fat soluable. I mean it looks like a good product, I know Metagenics is a good reliable company. But yeah, just was hoping someone else has heard of this or tried it before. Thanks for the reply AlliRuns.
