Hey, I'm new here.
I have a 10 year old girl who had sudden onset of pain just to the right of her navel area and slightly lower over 4 weeks ago. The Pain never moves.
She has had two stays in Hospital over that time for the pain, cramps that come and go, but the pain stays constant at the 6 out of 10 when not cramping and can rise to an 8 or 9. She can eat alright, and her cramps can come at anytime, but seem to be worse after a bowel motion (Not normal for most gastro things I know.).
All of my daughters blood, urine and Bowel tests have come back clear, not pointing to any inflarmation or other problems. No H-Plori, no lift to indicate CD.
In New Zealand we have a public Health system, which is great most of the time, but currently we seem to be batting our heads up against Doctors who because they can't see anything clearly, think there isn't anything there. We have had a few try and pass her off as having Functional Ado Pain, which just doesn't add up to us as it is constant and she is our happiest, and most easy going child who loves school and takes on life with great gusto most of the time. It's very sad to see her spending most of her time lying down with a wheat pack over her tummy. We have a Private appointment for the end of March for a Ped GI (The only one in the largest city in NZ, as they all work for the Hospital.).
Just wondering how many of you have had this type of experience, with nothing showing in the Blood, Urine and Stool tests.
Marie
