Hi Guys
Literally just eaten a Thai Yellow Curry with Boiled Rice, after being told by the Chinese Takeaway that it was the mildest curry on the whole menu, and after eating it, it most definatley is NOT. I ate all the meat, and most of the boiled rice trying to avoid the sauce cos it was HOT!
I am so worried now that it is going to make me ill and its stressing me out big time! Is there anything I can do to help myself ot am I doomed and destined to a flare of severe pain and a night on the loo :(
Help Me I need advice

DO NOT STRESS OUT! It will make it worse!!

You know your body better than anyone here does. If you know that it was too spicy, than more likely than not, it's going to be a bad evening for you.

Try to off-set it with something SUPER mild. Yogurt usually helps me. Stay hydrated.

Good luck.

Hi Holly,
First of all, keep your cool---it might not happen .
look at chicken little still looking for the sky to fall and it never happened.
Time will tell for you.
I have experienced a "mild" Indian curry rice dish---never again though--and I was not a diagnosed crohns at the time.
The more you stress the worse it is,and this alone may bring a reaction.
Just say to your self, I enjoyed the meal, it was good and nothing is going to happen to me---
hopefully it won't.
Optimists are winners
Hugs and best wishes
Trysha

stop stressing out like other said, one dish is seriously not going to affect the outcome of a disease like crohn, stress is really bad for crohn, just relax and go watch a movie or something that relaxes you, good luck

don't stress and I agree eat yogurt or drink milk, i eat loads of things i'm not supposed to and sometimes I get away with it and sometimes I don't.
