Vag soreness from IBD?

I was on antibiotics so I guess it could be from that?

My vag is really sore. Not like rough sex sore:ylol2: but hard to explain. It don't feel like any yeast infection I have ever had (only had2 ever) . No burning , no itching...just sore. Has anyone experienced anything like this with IBD? I'm def flaring that's why I question.

I was on antibiotics for 2 yrs. due to infections in my abdominal wound that wouldn't heal until i pulled out a suture that was tied but not to any body part. And then it finally closed up.

I showed it to my GI surgeon and he was like, that's not unheard of. BUT to answer your question, YES YES AND YES!! Antibiotics will kill off the bad as well as good bacteria in your system including down below. That's why it's best to take a probiotic if you can.

What I did was call my primary MD and asked if he could prescribe 1 dose of Diflucan (it's a pill, no messy creams) seeing as I was getting the yeast issues monthly until the infection cleared. It was a GODSEND. He even gave me refills on it. My Gyn's office is slow to respond plus my primary MD told me as long as it's nothing serious that needs to be seen by my Gyn, he was more than happy to oblige. (making the staff brownies and cookies for Xmas helped. lol)

if it's painfully red/sore, it may well be a yeast infection. if you are in doubt, just call your Gyn for a culture and he can tell you.

It sore..and I looked it red and I see like a cut on the left side so when I wipe it burns. Is this an IBD ISSUE?? When the burning subsides it just sore on that side.

it's a gyn issue. IF you were on antibiotics, ANTIBIOTICS WILL DO THIS. See your Gyn.

I am speaking from experience. I was ON A DIFFERENT ANTIBIOTIC FOR 2 YRS. DUE TO DIFFERENT INFECTIONS. I got the redness, sores, etc. from the antibiotics.
