hey guys and gals,thats me 4 days off the prednisolone and im starting to feel like shit,im not as bad as i was before when i got off when i was at the loo every half hour.im going abit more as the weeks got lower but now in the past four days ive felt as though i was coming down with a major flu,burning up but freezing cold at the same time,i go to bed fully clothed but wake up the next day felling brand new.im i suffering withdraw symptoms or is it something else.ive never realy been off the roids fully in the last 3 years.by the looks of things i'll be back in bed with the devil pills soon as im not feeling like i can go on like this,thing another op might be coming too,a big one as im not getting off the roids so the other meds arent doing their job.anyhoo my moan is over for now lol

I was on prednisone 5 years ago for 4 months at 20mg a day and don't remember if I had those types of with drawl symptoms. I am on prednisone now and starting to taper off; started at 40mg for the last 2 weeks and now on 30mg. I am sorry I am not much help but I don't believe when I tapered off the last time, I had any crazy symptoms. I currently have night sweats but not sure if it is something else or the steroids. Make sure to tell your Dr what is going on cause it could be something else going. Hope you get to feeling better real soon. Hang in there!

Ok, so Ive been on and off those steroids for the last year, at times taking 60mgs! When I tapper I get sick....I have terrible hotflashes, night sweats, body aches, nausea and just down right miserable. However, I didnt have any major disease symptoms, and if I did...that ment I was comming off too fast. So its a love hate relationshipfor me and the roids, love them cuz I get energy and my cd gets under control...but I hate it because it makes me blow up like a balloon and coming off sux!!

congrats to your weaning of steroids-this ridicoulos drug- I was on it twice in the past year I gained 40lbs and only lost 10 of it!!! I think a med with so many side affects is not worth taking!

i was always dizzy and outta breath when I came off preds but it only lasted a few weeks just pound back on the waters and it will flush faster

thanks for your input guys,its been a strange few days,1 day im feeling very bad,not eating feeling very flu-like symptoms next day im great and ready to eat a scabby dug........still very tired and cold now and then and seem to have like a burning pins n needles in my thigh thats driving me bloody nuts but i spoke to the gastric nurse and she says to hang on and see how it goes over the next few days as ive been on them more or les 3years so might settle down(feckin hope so)anthoo just need to play it by ear for now,

Best of luck to you with your Prednisone withdrawal. It seriously is a nightmare to come down off of and seems to take forever to recover from.
