I posted a Jet song above, well I thought I would repost a version they did for a truly inspiring man by the name of Fred Hollows. I went to this guy when I was a little kid back in the early sixties and ironically about twenty years later I worked with him in the theatres at Prince of Wales Hospital...........he really is a hero.

Dusty. :)

That makes the song even better for me Dusty!! Was he your optometrist as a kid or did you need corrective surgery??

Blues Traveler- Love and Greed

Nah no surgery. He was an Opthalmologist and I use to go to him yearly from about the time I was 4 - 11 years old. I owe it to him that I never needed glasses as a kid.

Dusty. :)

Truth is most music I have heard before and much of what I haven't heard annoys me.
Music has always been processed. Just go listen to songs from any decade from the 30's on and it is all pretty much the same.

Solid Gold Sixties music....My era drives me NUTS!!!! How many time can it be played....How many times can it be enjoyed????

I almost never turn on the car radio as I prefer silence to canned, compressed, lo fi
pseudo stereo blat and the DJ's BLOW

That's not to say there aren't songs I can listen to again and again....such as 16 Tons
or Factory Girl. Music is great just repetitious.

Right now I am listening to If You Wanna Be Happy - Jimmy Soul

I guess I like R & B the best

You sound like Merle Haggard...."my ears can't stand to hear the same old song"....I agree btw!!! That's why I really like my xm radio!! Variety...at last!!

I try!! Kids play much better than me and my dad is a superb pianist and also plays the guitar. Have a new keyboard now and Fur Elise is pre-recorded haha

I'm pretty sure that's what the old ice cream truck used to play while driving round the streets lol

I used to be able to play it many many moons ago
now I'd struggle to find middle c
lmao

I've just got our tickets to Echo & The Bunnymen at Liverpool Olympia, December 11th, YAY!!
So excited!
Listening to Crocodiles and Heaven Up Here!

Construction Work by Apt 101

(Which is cheesy code for... the apartment below us is doing some remodeling and it's incredibly loud and annoying.)

-Kathryn

Devin Townsend - Vampira

Anyone thats into rock/metal should check it out if they don't already know the guy. Also be prepared for lots of contributions to this thread from me :)

My Ipod went through the wash last night and won't turn on....... Very depressing.

:( I've heard sticking it in a bag of rice or by a heater vent helps. Something to help draw out the moisture. My dad actually dropped his iphone in a pond and either put it on the stove or in the over. NOT something I recommend as my techie boyfriend had a fit when he found out. Something about needing it to get dry hot to get rid of the moisture. But not so hot that it damages the connections or boards inside.

Good luck~!

Hi Jessica! I tried the rice trick and it worked! Its all working now, just needed a couple days to dry out I guess. Thanks! :)

Chuck I dropped mine fully into the toliet...after flushing a month ago. Dried it out and slowly but surely it works! Couldnt believe it haha.

Listening to whatever it is- zack brown band right now on said ipod.

Bone Thugs~N~Harmony - We Come To Serve 'Em. Saw them perform last night at the local arena here in town..it's amazing how they work in harmony literally..as they all can rap and sing at the same time.

Chuck - Glad that it worked out okay. Hate to see people seperated from their music. <3

OMG what a blast from the past!!!
I remember the bit in the 'police officer cell / station' where they took away his belt because "Kid we don't want any hangings!"
Can't stop laughing!!

Satoshi Bando - Slow On The Uptake. A Japanese Jazz musician. A really feel good type of song. Almost sounds like soul or R&B somewhat.

Jill and I were in the same grade, we had mutual friends, I never got into her. The lone person with a guitar doesn't sit ring bells for me.

She's changed it up a bit now, a la 1940s, with pin curls and all (and a small band). It's a bit of a schmaltzy act at times, but (in my opinion) she isn't taking herself too seriously, which I appreciate.

Oh dag gone, first to post a new one for the new year...sorta late..

Old School Rap for this one - Snoop Dogg Feat. Sam Sneed - Blueberries

Justin Bieber (ducks really quick)-Just Kidding-couldn't resist :ytongue:

I'm listening to Hank Williams Jr....Lone Wolf, so awesome!

I disagree, Daytona 500 by Ghostface is the greatest rap song ever written.

Sir we are going to agree to disagree agreeably! In my humble opinion, the greatest rap song, ever written is...

La Di Da Di by none other than Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick!

I was never a Slayer fan, but they put on a damn good live show. My friend's dad had season tickets to box seats at a concert venue, we would get the tickets that he ddin't want.

When you have a link you want to share press the Link Button (the world with the chain) and paste the link in the box that comes up. When you press OK it will insert the code with the link and some highlighted text (it will be the 2nd url of the link). Just delete the highlighted text and and insert your own text. Do not mess with the first url shown. And there you go, just press submit and you're done.

Tom Wilson - Uh Oh, That Wasn't a Marlboro

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-qPSIlw96c">The Naked and Famous- Spank</a>

Okay. When I paste the link in the box, will it just be the same url twice? And after I post the link in the box, there is no highlighted text, so I am not sure what to take out. When I paste both urls at the same time, I get this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-qPSIlw96chttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-qPSIlw96c

so I guess I am on the right track. I just don't know what part of the second url I am supposed to take out so that I can get the name The Naked and Famous- Spank.

You pressed the wrong button. It's the one with the earth. The code should show up like this <url=(link)>(Name)</url> except with regular brackets instead of greater than and less than symbols.

Yeah they do. I saw them on the American Carnage tour in 2010.

Awesome!

My 22 year old son burned a CD of him playing his guitar and I'm listening to that! It's awesome :) (Proud momma)
