Summer's coming (okay yes, I just saw on the news that they're forecasting SNOW here on Saturday but summer is coming, really!). What are you most looking forward to doing during the summer?
For me, I'd love to go kayaking again. Hubby and I bought a 2-person kayak and used it a ton during the summer of 2009. Then I got ill that fall and wasn't able to kayak at all last summer. I'm reminded of that every time I go into the basement and see our kayak hanging there, collecting a thick layer of dust. Even on the days that I felt relatively well last summer, I was so afraid of going out on the kayak because there aren't exactly a lot of bathrooms available when you're in the middle of a creek or lake. (But there are a lot of other boaters and I think I would rather crap myself than hang my bottom over the side of the boat for all to see - but don't really want to do either!) Now I'm doing somewhat better, on Entocort although I believe my GI is taking me off of it in May, so who knows how I'll be feeling in the summer. To add further complications, my hubby now has kidney stones and needs to pee frequently as he's trying to flush them from his system, so we both need to be near a bathroom now. I'd love to kayak again - I just hope we're both in good enough shape to be able to!
