What is YOUR weather like today??

Another cold front coming thru overnight. They are saying there may be a dusting of snow on the Qld border ranges. That is a bit like hell freezing over. Such is life . Ron.

It's currently 30c in the shade. I'm hanging out in the basement workshop... Nice and cool down here... ;)

Hey, Curly! :) Feel free to pop in any time, we love the weather or we complain something terrible! All in good spirit, for the most part... lol :^) Cheers!

Much cooler today and the wind yesterday was cool. We went to a good stately home Burghley House. Sometimes though, when they boast of 120 rooms and you only get to see 18 it's a bit of a let down. Quite a few are that. Did enjoy it though.

Today i got rained on, lol. Really wasn't warm at all. I got home, put my thermal vest on, a thick shirt and my woolly jumper too. Put heating on for an hour too. More downpours to come too.

It snowed on the border towns yesterday morning and most of the high country in NSW is covered with snow . Combined with strong s/w winds the wind chill factor has given us the first real taste of winter in many years. Ron.

Warming up a bit. We have some rain sweeping in from the north and it is meeting moist SE winds. Another wet weekend. Been scheduled for my colonoscopy in two weeks. It seems that everyone here constantly has to schedule their lives around medical issues. It would be nice to just forget them for six months but that only leads to disaster. Ron.

I see why i couldn't log on for a time. New format! However, you can't hide from me. I have found you.

Bucketing down here. The ground needs it mind. Going to be a grotty weekend i think. I don't have to do any gardening today.

Warming up into the high 20's today, I am doing the wash and will hang the laundry out after. I saw my new GI, a young lady fairly new out of medical school. I had blood work done, and schedualled for an MRI for the small bowel area. We are much like worn machinery that must be monitored regularly. The body is much like such; leaking, stinking, rattles & smokes, but it does run when it wants to start.

11c and very very wet.Teemed down all night too_One of the gull chicks on the chimney over the way looks like it's died.

Buff.if we put the right fuel in and rest when we must, hopefully we'll tick along nicely for long enough.I find lack of energy is annoying, but I do push myself to get things done.Age has a lot to with it but we can't do anything about that.Just go with the flow......

Cold, damp and miserable. Frustrated that I can't find a scalpel to cut my wrists, but otherwise, perfectly functional. Survive, we shall. Bedtime beckons,
Celer et Audax,
M.
Ps.Any Canadian would be aware of this term. The RGJ,in which I served, was a sister Regiment of the PPLI.

Yes, we are very proud of our Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry and anyone who has served with them. 17C currently.

Again it's dark with low lying clouds, plenty of rain and higher winds that have damaged trees and sent a few things flying. I wasn't out hedgie watching last night, nor will i be probably until the weekend such is our weather at the moment.

WE are warming up again. Temps up to 25/26c in parts of the SE this week. South Australia and Victoria expecting rain events in the next couple of days. We are without rain today but it is shaping for another wet weekend, Ron.

I was going to go out for a ride in the mountains today. It turned into the ER all night last night from these dang cluster headaches. I was watching for bears while walking home from the hospital in the dark. All I saw were cats and deer. I took things easy today and went to get some more cannabis extracts. No driving for a while here... It's nearing 30c in the shade at the moment.

I'm jealous of the good, hot weather some of you have, even in Winter, Ron.
Webbed feet! i needed a laugh, curly.

Bucketing down again. I feel for the fledglings, but they're enjoying the food i put out. Mind, i think the worms are easier to get at for them as the ground is absolutely saturated.

9c and still raining, but more of a drizzle really. We call our protégé male gull ,Fred as in Fred Astaire..Gulls stamp their feet on grass
to trick worms into thinking it's rain,so they come to the surface. He stamps on the shed roof so that hubby knows he needs a feed....fish sticks and diced chicken.Mrs.Fred is called Fanakapan, because she faffs about a lot.The one remaining chick is still in the nest.Don't know how, after all the wind and heavy rain.

Hi All
The weather here has been horrible unfortunately there has been flooding in a number of places up and down the country.
I read there was a tornado on the Isle of Wieght .
The weather here at the moment is sunny would you believe I did not get wet doing my shopping.
Hope everyone stays dry this weekend.

We've had days of torrential downpours, thunderstorms included. I quite like those, but the garden is so waterlogged i squelch every step whilst trying to feed birds and hedgehogs. Just a tad better today so far. I have still got the thermal vest on with winter woollies and the heating has been on briefly too. I wonder if we'll have a summer this year.

Much sunnier today i'm pleased to say. Expecting temperatures to rise and will hopefully potter about the garden.

The problem with the longest days here is that the hedgepigs come out of their nests later. I don't get to watch them that much. Mind, i don't know where this six months has gone. It sure is too fast, Merv.

"It" doesn't get anymore likable though Ron.I was going to say I'll be thinking about you,but perhaps not eh.?

Summer solstice today.I hate to say it Di., but the days will be getting shorter.Only by seconds, but bring on the cosy nights with lamps on and(y) warm PJs......

Hmmm, i'm not ready for Autumn yet i'm still awaiting a summer like last year. The first of my flowers are now appearing. Hope to see more bloom later in the year. If lucky i might just see the snowdrops i planted last year. Biopsy tomorrow.

Ron, i'm really pleased for you. How you keep living with that health and stress of good weather all year round i don't know.

Two biopsies today, One into a mass that didn't light up (could be a haematoma) and one into a node which has suddenly swollen up. Didn't take anything from the ovarian or Fallopian tube tumours. They did light up.

Lovely warm sunny day. Longest day of the year, no matter what Scottsma says. Loving this weather.

I'm back. I went for a week's vacation to visit family, and enjoy the pool and hot tub at the hotel. The week went by quick, before I knew it the rental car turned back into a pumpkin and the rest of it seems a dream. The weather has been wet and cool, I didn't miss anything. The problem with travel are the irregular meal times and eating the wrong foods, by the 4th day my guts hurt and it was soon time to come home and return to my regular routine. Otherwise I held up better this time than I have on some other trips.

Lovely day here. Need to tackle the bine stem that's gotten everywhere in the garden, except the pond of course. If it could grow there it would.
Feeling very sore in the node and mass. It will get better and i shouldn't whinge as surgery will have me screaming in pain for four nights and five days. Just can't get pain relief, even with epidural. The pain meds seem to have no effect, just keeps me awake all night and day.

Nice to see you back, Buff. Did you get a Camaro for a rental? I would have. ;^)
No, it was more like that 737 max that was in the news. It was a Kia Soul 2020 modle. I didn't like how that car has a mind of its own by swerving whenever I passed by a person standing at the side of the road waiting for the bus. Its one of those accident avoidance systems. It had a few other quirks and filled with distracting electronics, not my kind of thing. One thing I did like was the back up camera. I'll stick to my trusty old Ford F150 truck. My new Gi let me know I have an abdominal CT scan coming up.

I'd rather have a rusty old 80-90's Chevy or Ford that runs. The older trucks were more durable and easier to work on. I will never let a car drive me, thats for sure. I imagine it must have been quite terrifying when it steers and brakes on it's own. Shoulda got a Camaro! Just sayin' Lol ;^) I had a Kia sedan around 2006 and it was not my favorite. Chilly and drizzling here at the moment 10c.

Rain coming some time today and continuing for the rest of the week. Glad you got away from the black flies Buff. That was a short summer Mack. Yes Merv all things did pass I always feel unburdened after a scope. Di I hope that can sort your problems out as quickly and painlessly as possible. Carol perhaps a Frenchman had a scope ,i'm, surprised I didn't show up as a 5.1 after mine . I don't know why the can't let out all of the air they put in there. Ron.

Omg, Ron, you just reminded me about all that gas! I would never let a car drive me either, scary.
Quite humid, with rain forecast later for today and tomorrow. Hopefully a few good cracking thunderstorms too. I love those.
The first of my seedlings are flowering. I'm so pleased. Mind, the slugs are about too.

I'll take my well rustproofed older truck over these electronic tin cans, just the replacement cost alone is good reason to keep one's older vehicle maintained. Yesterday I cut some dead trees by the driveway for some firewood as I want to save the piled wood for winter. The black flies and deer flies forced me to give up and head indoors. I did get enough for those small fires I need at this time of year.

same weather as of late. They're forecasting thunderstorms before a heat wave in the mid thirties mid week.Hoping the South gets the heat......as to cars, bring back the good old days when you could go to the local scrap yard and buy all the replacement "bits" you needed for next to nothing, and some you didn't.To much technology in cars these days,Bring back the "bangers"

Raining steadily here... The temperature is 15c but it sure doesn't seem like it. I'm happy we're getting rain now before the Canada Day long weekend. We will likely have many irresponsible tourists get drunk and light off fireworks all over the place... It happens every year around here. What are some people even drinking to be so careless? I'm always down for a good firework display, don't get me wrong there... just as long as it's safely conducted. Cheers all!

Sometimes you have to protect people from them selves. A lot of people think that we have gone a bit to far in Australia . We have a firearms ban and many years ago fireworks were banned. In a recent study the substance causing the most problems to the public was alcohol. Well ahead of ice, heroin ,cocaine and other narcotics. Ron.

Light rain now. Going to get progressively worse and into torrential rain and thunderstorms. I can put up with this. It's probably nothing like the storms that other countries get. Then for the good weather Wednesday. Whoopee. Sorry about that Carol, so many people do suffer with heat. They have my sympathy. I've had sunstroke twice. I976 and again in 1977. I hope it's sunny with the hot weather but they do indicate that it will be humid. It is today and was yesterday.

We are expecting some good summer weather later in the week. Last night on the weather channel they showed a huge erruption of the Raikoke volcano in Russia, it ejected a massive cloud of ash and sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere known to cause global cooling. Its early, but I don't think it will be the last we hear about it. I'll enjoy the good weather for I may have to cut extra fire wood just in case.
