What song is bouncing around your head?

GI Jane,

This song was from "slippery when wet." It was the first tape I ever bought when I was a kid. I bought it at K-Mart with money I earned mowing lawns with my buddy Jerry. So funny you would bring me back to my childhood like that! LOL

Ya I wore out this tape for sure.....still love it.....dang now I have to add it to Iphone....nothing's simple.

If you are familiar with contemporary Christian music, there is a song by Toby Mac called Love Broke Through.

Definitely brings back memories. I live about 5 miles from Bon Jovi now. If I see him out and about (has only happened twice), I'll let him know his music brings joy to people with Crohn's.

It does sometimes we softly cry and sing one and others we scream it out with anger but all of it's healing.

Let me know what you think of it everybody!

I like how they showed the disabled veteran on the video. It has that lyrics that you scream out when hopped on on steroids.....NOTHING ELSE REALLY MATTERS....ya I was a rebel teen.

Glad you listened. My Buddy Steve is an army mechanic. He listens to a lot of AC/DC and Metallica while recovering tanks and such. I wish I would hear from him soon. I think he is still deployed.

Witch doctor is one of those just loved to taunt on car rides.....oooh eeehh...bing....bang...

The muscle relaxants make me quite clouded. It is a lot better than a cluster headache!
I separated my shoulder getting tackled, playing rugby. 20 yrs later it still messes up the neck and pulls on nerves. Thus massive headache. Glad to be in no pain.

Ok I worked with Germans at NATO for a while and got into some of their music. It helped me learn some of their language. It has a great peaceful sound and was a mantra for us in Afghanistan.

The dreary sky makes me sick
A heavy gray cloth
That almost suffocates the senses
The habit of visiting
For a long time nothing more refueled
The batteries are empty
Engaged in a labyrinth
I can not see the way

I want to get away, I want to get out
I want to know what I want
And a little boy takes me by the hand
He waves to me and grins:
Come here, get out of here
Come on, I'll show you something
You've forgotten how to understand

Refrain:
come along
Come with me to adventureland
On your own trip
Come with me to adventureland
Admission costs the mind
Come with me to adventureland
And do it in your way
Your imagination gives you a country
The Adventureland

New shape, playful and wild
The clouds mal'n a picture
The wind whistles to this song, in which every wish is fulfilled
I invent, transform with magic power
The army of the Showfinger bridges: "You're spinning!"
I stretch my finger out
I bewitch, banish, I have the power
As long as the little da I'm mirror still grins.

Refrain.

Peter Pan and Captain Hook with seventeen fire kites
You can see everything, if you want
Donnervangel, Urgeschrei, angels, who laugh aloud
You can hear everything, if you want
You can flip, flit, fly and get the biggest horse
You can dance, stagger, dream and miss the school
All this is possible within you, in your country
Dare to spin, it's in your hand

Lot of pain today song for the night.....conceal don't feel....don't let them know...time for the big meds night all....my theme song.....the fears that once controlled me can't get to me at all....I think of this with every new GI procedure.

GI Jane,

Cool buddy! Kids are fun. They make me feel a little bit of the big kid still inside of myself. That's a very good song. I hope you felt your inner kiddo a little bit too.

I'm sending peaceful thoughts and prayers your way,

cmack
