When do I give in and go to hospital?

Hi,

I have been flaring since the day before Christmas. I saw my GP last week he gave me meds to help with the aching body.....I didn't go to work yesterday cos my head felt like it was going to explode.... Stayed home again today and just feel off.... I have no energy, my body aches.....I am either constipated or have extreme diarrhea and I have had enough of feeling like this.... I am tired all the time.

I can't see the specialist until next week unless I get admitted to hospital under him and see him in the ward.....

Do I just keep going til I start feeling better, do I get admitted and get drugged up and escape the pain for a few days or do I just stay in bed and feel like this totally useless and miserable mother and person.

Sorry one huge pity party happening....

:nonono: Okay--you are not useless, you are sick. Sorry you are having such a rough time. I guess that I wouldn't wait--but everyone is sooo different. When I am flaring, I have to go to the Dr. right away because I go downhill so fast! My flares are never a "slow burn," they just go WHAM! What day next week is your appointment? They can see me Tuesday next week.... I am in a lot of pain and really tired. Maybe if I just stay in bed a few more days I will feel better. I don't know what to do... I am seeing a GP today (my usual one is on leave ...) but mostly to get a letter for work.....

Sorry to hear that you feel so bad right now :-(

As you're seeing the GP today I'm sure they can let you know whether you should get yourself to the hospital.

I would think if you feel any worse though just get yourself there anyway!!

You are not useless...plus it never hurts to have a pity party every once in a while x
