Which meds put you in remission?

Hi, so I was just wondering as I really want to be in remission. I know it's early stages as I was only diagnosed last week. But which meds put u in remission and how long did it take?

As Ron said, everyone is different. Back when I was fist diagnosed, I was on Sulfasalazine on and off (when the theory was to stop meds once remission was achieved)....then I was on Asacol, have been on 6-MP, and for the past 10+ years Remicade.

A lot depends on the severity of disease and where it is located in your body, and also how a person reacts to different medications.

I was put into remission by a short course (2 months) of Entocort, but my disease is fairly mild. Many patients need something stronger.
