I have recently received a seton. It is so frustrating!! :ymad: The doctor says use a SIDS bath after every bowel movement...do they realize how many bowel movements we have!?!? I am not just sitting home 24/7...using SIDS bath is not always available. I'm nervous that I'll get an infection in it. I'm nervous I'll pull it out by accident. I'm nervous my abscess isn't draining as much as it should....ugh, it's stressful!! I'm not always so stressed, I think I'm just having a moment, sorry :yfrown:

One tip I have heard is carry a squeeze bottle of water with you, after you've finished on the toilet you can squirt water on it. Might be an idea to sterilise the bottle first.

Or if you use the disabled toilet they have a sink in there, you could try cleaning with clean water and gauze (cotton wool tends to leave bits behind).

Thanks everyone. And thanks for the advice Rebecca. They told me I'll have the seton in for two months...maybe I can get it out sooner (fingers crossed!!)
