Hi Everyone. I'd like to say this is separate from crohn's but it seems like nothing ever is lol.

I've aggravated an old rotator cuff injury and obviously back in the day i'd take NSAIDs to ease it. However I know that's a bad idea now. My GP even advised against gels because some of it still gets absorbed into the skin.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a natural/alternative way to help with muscle injurys?

Crying into your cuppa tea!!!! Lol
All I can do is dangle a hot water bottle over mine and take paracetamol. You can try codeine, but personally I find this doesn’t help.
You can also get them self head pads from the chemist, and I believe olbas oil can be used for a rub(never tried it)

My shoulder pain drives me insane, so I feel for you

A cabbage leaf or 2 also helps for temporary re"leaf".

What worked the best for me after my shoulder surgery was a hot towel and TENS unit. A mini TENS might not get as deep into the joint as you might need.

Haha, pretty much all i've been doing. My hot water bottle has become my best friend.

Self heat pads eh? I'll give them a try. Why does crohn's have to make everything else so difficult lol.

Thanks!
