The day of all dreaded days...the prep for the colonoscopy! *insert scary music here* Yep, that's is my day for today. I am currently sitting here eating jello and thinking about all the food I would really like to be eating. Will be starting to drink the "delicious" *sarcasm* golytly in a few hours. Blah!

Trying to keep myself distracted from the hunger. All tips appreciated. Last time I had one, I distracted myself as best I could by grading papers. No papers to grade this time.

Okay, off to eat more jello.

Drink lots. I kept a bottle of squash with me and kept sipping it and it kept my tummy feeling full. And your body will thank you for it when you start peeing out your backside! Good luck!

Just remember it's the worst part drinking all that stuff I always think! Once that bits over with you can relax a little. Im loving the scary music thing there xxx made me smile :0) xx

Ha, so sorry your jello day is here, I hate jello and I dont care what flavour it is, I can tolerate it with whipped cream, but it is a no no. My worse flavours are Yellow (lemon) or green (lime) with all the flavours in the world and I have been in the hospital why always those flavours??? Ew.

Hang in there, I hate it too but let us know how how your scope goes, you should know right away.

BTW: Rebecca...what is Squash?

I was wondering what squash was too, Pen. Yeah, my mom has come to town to take me to the scope tomorrow. She will be able to tell me what the doc says when I am more awake. I remember last time, I did ask him to give me a copy of the report so I could read it later in case I didn't remember what he said. Plus, I like to have a copy so I can compare my results. :)

Sorry, squash is concentrated juice that you dilute with water. Also known as cordial, dilute or concentrate.

On my scope day I was told to bring someone with me to pay attention to anything important they told me, then they wouldn't let my mum in with me :(

Hi Belle - Hope your prep day is going smoothly, even if it's not the most fun day that you've had all week. I will suggest a big glass or five of lemonade and a light, fluffy book -- who needs the serious stuff in the summer?

well, done pretty well today in regard to hunger. Last time, i was hungry much more so than today. just started feeling hungry this evening. headed to bed soon. scope in the am. let you all know how it goes. :)

I am happy to report that all went REALLY well with my scope on Friday! I had been told I was probably in remission prior to this scope. But after the procedure, I am officially in remission!!! My doctor said it looked better than he even hoped for. It is so amazing what the medication can do! I know it may change in the future, but for now I am going to enjoy my time in remission and just keep hoping that the meds will work for me for a long time!

Hey that is so awesome!!!!!! That is what everyone prays for is remission! Congratulations and cheers to a long and healthy life!
