Anyone here in Arizona that has been able to successfully obtain a MM card? I am relocating to the area and have all my necessary paperwork but wanted to find a good physician to help me with the paperwork.

I'm open to anywhere in the Phoenix area or Tucson area....I'm in between the two.

I live in Arizona. I have not tried to get a card. It is my understanding that most doctors will not write a recommendation and you must go to a special clinic staffed by a doctor that does nothing but write MM recommendations. You can find these clinics on line. I would try your primary care anyway as Crohns is listed in the law as a qualifying condition. I have UC which isn't listed and the cost of the card is pretty high. so haven't bothered. There is only one open dispensary which is in Glendale(near Phoenix).

I am in WA and UC technically isn't a "qualifying condition" but since Crohns and Colitis are both IBD most doctors wont have an issue giving you a recommendation. At least in my experience.

I found a reputable naturopath to get my rec, but all of my other doctors know. They are just too scared to hand out recommendations for fear of federal law.

I used Dr. Heather Moroso on 7th in Tucson. She was very cool. I would recommend her. Fair price. She talks to you!
