Avoiding Surgery

I have avoided surgery for many years. Ileo-colon fistula. Will this increase the chance of colon cancer?

Haha yes you have a higher risk of colon cancer if you have a colon than if you didn't
My feeling is its best to keep what you have as long as you can. There is no guarantee and a fair chance crohns recurs elsewhere after surgery to remove the affected area.
There is an increased risk of cancer for IBD Paients but it is still low.
No easy choices

I had a resection five years ago. One of my doctor's associates said the disease would eventually return.
