Best treatment for Crohn’s Colitis?

Good ol' Remicade has a reputation of the strongest medication for Crohn's in general, including colitis, but it also has the highest rate of eventually losing effectiveness due to formation of antibodies against the drug.

If you want something that is more targeted on the large bowel, consider Entyvio.

Thank you! BF is on Avsola but not much improvement yet. Dr. will probably up the dose. Is it harder to treat inflammation in the large intestine? His entire colon is severely inflamed, with very little in the small intestine. He’s not a big question asker but I am and this forum has been so helpful.

So far as I know, treating lesions in the large bowel is not harder than in the small bowel. For either one the key is partnering with the GI to find the right combination of medication, diet, and lifestyle that achieves a solid remission.
