Hi Everyone!

I've noticed since I've been diagnosed with Crohns and dealing with everything since early December, I've only had a small amount of BM that are really formed and normal looking. All the rest of the times it's either watery, or mudpie like or really short, thin tiny turds. For the past 4 days, it's been really tiny turds that crumble when they're in the toilet to where they look like sand in a way. Now today, they look like what I call mudpies. I've been on Pentasa since early december, and I'm on Flagyl right now along with Entocort. I'm also on Cipro because of these strange fevers I've been getting and my doctor wants to make sure it's not another infection. I'm kinda freaking out wondering if they'll ever be normal again? I have so much anxiety about going to a restroom in a public place or that I'll be out somewhere and need to run to the restroom. :shifty: I don't like these BM and I wish they'd form up!

My BMs always look like sand, or they're watery on really bad days. I'm not in remission, though. When I was in remission, they were formed. I haven't had one of those formed ones in over a year.

THANKS FOR SHARING i AM ALSO GOING THREW THE SAME THING and the specialist does not tell me much that is why I am going to a New specialist but I feel I am just going threw this alone untill now.. thanks for sharing now I know it is normal... :/

This sucks! I wish we could figure out why this is. I don't think I'm in remission either, obviously if I was I'm sure things would be different. This could be a little funny, but I can't wait for the day I have normal solid stool again! I never thought I'd say that!

I haven't had a formed bowel movement in a really really long time!! Mine are always watery/loose. I've pretty much come to terms with it!

It takes much less time to have a BM this way too!! No embarrassing hour in the bathroom just to get it over with.

Mine vary widely depending on what i am eating, sometimes solid, sometimes liquid, however since i had my surgery i have always noticed that i end up having to go #2 at least 4 to 5 times a day, even if just a little i always get the urge that i have to go, and when i get the urge i better find a RR fast, does anyone else experience this as well?

She is now 9 1/2 months old :)

Also.. I'm not quite 2 weeks post op and I am going to the bathroom sooo much its not even funny. I've lost a little over 10lbs since surgery and am very weak. Did you have that problem as well? I went about 20 times (no kidding) before about 1:00pm today. I finally broke down and took Immodium which helped for a couple of hours and now back at it.

I had similar issues, it eventually regulated itself over time, but at the beginning i think it would have been better to replace my desk chair with a toilet on wheels! :)

What kind of surgery did you have? Have long have you had Crohns? And you're little one is precious!:)

I had a resection. They took out 18 inches of small bowel and a little bit of the first part of my colon.

Thank you!! I love my little baby bear :) She's awesome!

Oh wow! Well I hope you heal safe! I bet that takes a lot out of you. I have my Crohns in my terminal ileum, if I ever need surgery, I'm not sure what they would do.

The TI was where my crohns was really bad. It was so severely diseased they were surprised I hadn't had to have emergency surgery from blockages and what not way before. I was lucky in that aspect.

The recovery is hard!! I'm 2 weeks out and still feeling nasty. Today is a bit better than yesterday, but still so so tired and weak. However, since having the surgery, I can finally eat without throwing everything up! I can't eat a whole lot, but I sure keep it in! well... I don't throw it up anyway.

Well congrats! At least it's staying down. I have major problems with nausea and sometimes I get sick and sometimes i dont. I always keep a little bucket next to my bed at night though because sometimes I get night sweats and then get sick from it. When I had my CT scan and small bowel x-ray done, they didn't see any sign of a blockage or abcess, so i think that's a good thing. I do get pains on my right side every now and then.

Have you asked for anything for the nausea?? I'm not sure where you live, or if its available there... but I take this stuff called Zofran. It's amazing. When you're feeling ill slip a tablet under your tongue, it dissolves right away and gets to work. They're a bit expensive, but my insurance pays for it... so you may want to check for that. It has no side effects at all except for taking the nausea away!
