We have had a wonderful Christmas with good friends and great meal cooked by darling husband. What a different a year makes.
Last year my parents come to spend Christmas Eve with us. Sarah and I spend Christmas Eve in the emergency department. My younger girls attempted to start our Christmas meal of roast turkey and vegetables while receiving instructions by mobile phone. They did their best.
Although Sarah did not receive any treatment for she severe pain and we spent hours at hospital. This was first time time anyone had believed there was something seriously wrong with Sarah.
The doctor on duly did her best to find out what was wrong. They did a X-ray of chest they were looking for a chest infection, blood and urine tests. They found some odd things in bloods test and gave us letter for our gp requesting a referral to a GI. She explained emergency was good for acute problems but chronic conditions was not their area.
This was the turning point for us and Sarah was dx with Crohn's a month later.
This has been an eventful year for us. I have learnt so much in the last year from the wonderful members of this forum.
Thank you everyone, I will not name anyone as I sure will forgot to name one of you but you all know who you are.
Merry Christmas everyone.
