I'm having my very first conoloscopy on October 6th. I know I can only have clear fluids, so that means the obvious (jello, gummi candy, nothing with red dye or purple dye), but I thought you guys might have some other things that qualify as clear fluids that I haven't thought of. Any input is appreciated! :)
 
On my procedure list they had a whole list of foods, that's strange they didn't have one for you! They had apple juice, gatorade, popsicles, clear hard candies, jello, etc. Just avoid red, purple, or dark blue dyes. I'm sure I left certain things out that others will contribute.
 
I quite liked a veggie stock cube in hot water just for a bit of taste....

Oh and just a word of advice, when I first had to do this I ate so much jelly that it put me off for ages and ages and ages! oops!

Autumn Rose I'm having a colonoscopy on that exact same day too...good luck to you and it might make you feel better knowing that someone else out there is starving and living on broth leading up to it too :)

I love having iced tea, but by the last day (I do long preps thanks to twisty bowel that doesn't clear - as I learned today), it's all chicken stock for me. Desire for sweet wears off after a while. :)

Mine sure will be in the morning Autumn Rose, not looking forward to it at all, I wish I could have a yummy meal after it but at the moment I'm so limited to what my gut will accept. I seem to be going by a rule at the moment....."if it has taste keep away from it" lol

Kelly I haven't touched sugar for 4 weeks solid now and I'm still craving a packet of biscuits or a nice big slab of cake lol I dream of big family blocks of chocolate....
 
Well the standard clear liquids have been mentioned already, but I find that the only thing that really curbs my appetite is actual chewing! I stick with the broths and supplement that with gnawing on ice chips and even sucking on hard candy can help as well.
