Colonoscopy pictures

Hello Everyone!
I am meeting with my G.I. doc tomorrow. He is in practice with the G.I. physician that originally diagnosed me with Crohn's, but since it was so long ago, 2000, I thought it was 2002, they no longer have those records "handy". The last colonoscopy was done in 2010, and showed no evidence of the dx. My question is, should I bring a copy of both those films with me to the appointment? The last time I was there, they did an upper G.I. which showed, a hiatal hernia, duodenitis, and food in my stomach, from 14 hours previously. They wanted me to go for a gastric emptying series, so I'll schedule that tomorrow, hopefully. I also had an ultrasound of the gallbladder, and that led to gallbladder removal 4/2012. There is some anxiety, because of being told "it's all in your head"!!
Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!:rosette1:

Hi Honeycomb!

I have the same anxiety about going to the doc, even though I know that I'm sick. I was told so many times between the ages of 13-15 that there was nothing wrong with me that it just sticks with me still!!

I would definitely take the pictures from the colonoscopy. What could it hurt?

My GI asked me to bring the previous films and Pathologist reports. They were from a different GI and she wanted to compare so she could see if I was getting better, worse or doing the same. She told me it would help her.

The more records you supply the better. I work as a medical transcriptionist and one of the things that slows a doctor down is lack of records... and if the records aren't in front of them, they often forget to followup on it because they are so busy.

I even gave my GI surgery records from 15 years prior and he is still talking about it!
