So since Friday, everytime i eat i have D, with the exception of water and juice.

Is it wrong to take Codiene to help slow it down so i can friggin eat????

I am not on meds. I do have a GI appt coming up in a few weeks. But i do need to eat, soemthing!

I have tried keping it simple and nothing seems to help. tonite is chicken and baked potatoes.......very simple and food i normally have no issues with.

But i am assuming that i will be running to the bathroom half hour after i eat.....

is this normal Crohns behaviour???? Have i been lucky up til now ? And is this what i can expect??? I mean i have had some D but not normally for days and days like this.....Or?????

My daughter has Crohn's and has eppisodes of diareah. Is there anything you can think of that will plug you up so to speak? I know bananas works for some people, or cheese.. With my daughter we usually go very bland, we start with the BRAT diet, Banana's, Rice, Applesauce, Toast. I wouldn't take the codeine without consulting your dr. Good luck.

That was normal crohns behaviour for me I'm afraid. Especially during a flare. Codiene will slow it down, but as it's addictive, not a great idea for a daily thing until you need it for pain. As said above, bananas help alot. If you take a dose of immodium that should help as well. But you really need to see the GI. Dont take alot of immodium if you can help it. Just small doses.

The reason I say this is that you dont know what is causing the problem. And stopping yourself up too much may cause further issues. So seeing the GI, and the sooner the better would be your best option.

Please dont forget to keep hydrated! Do you have a fever? Any pain? Nausea?

I should have added that i do take T3 for pain as needed. So i do have a RX for them. I do also take probiotics. I dont consider either of them meds right now as i have been using them both for over a yr and half.

I cannot eat bananas....which is too bad. Cheese , sometimes it just causes instant diahreea and sometimes it works great to slow me down. I eat toast, crackers, potatoes....rice....anything simple and plain. But right now it doesnt seem to matter.

Terriernut: I dont have any fever or pain or nausea. other then the diahreea i feel absolutely great! Which is better then i have felt in weeks.....

If it wasnt for the D i could almost forget what was wrong with me.....

I have a GI appt in 3 weeks which is better then the first appt i had.....october!!! I got it moved up 3 months!!!
