Does this sound like Crohn's?

I have had mucus and dark red blood with bowel motions. I have also had the mucus and blood without a bowel motion, when I have just felt like I need to poop, but no poop.

I can't think of what else it could be.

There is a family history of Crohn's.

Have you been examined by a GI or other medical professional yet? With IBD mucus is often a sign of inflammation within the intestinal tract. Finding the source of bleeding is also very important.

However you want to check with your doctor to rule out any other issues that you may be having. The sooner you address the issue, the sooner you will find relief and the less risk there is for additional complications to arise.
